Make Real: The AI Adventure of tldraw
“What if you could just draw what you want?”
This is the story of "Make Real", the tldraw and AI experiment that blew up online late last year. It's an experiment that lets you create a functioning website by designing a wireframe, and then using multi-modal AI to turn it into code. The fun comes from being able to put the website back onto the canvas, so that you can annotate it and continue designing without leaving your flow.
In this talk, I’ll share the story of Make Real and the rollercoaster ride of how it became viral, with visuals, demos, and unexpected discoveries. And I’ll share everything we learned about the new possibilities (and limitations) of multi-modal AI in the canvas. This includes: How to give the AI all the information it needs, and how to lean into the feedback loop of your tool.
