Unknown, not Impossible

We tend to treat many things in web design and development as impossible.

Every so often, we give up when we are blocked by some issue, not getting the desired result, not seeing the change, we claim that it is not possible, and build a wall between us and the problem.

In other cases, we limit ourselves only to what we know and have access to. Getting used to the convenience of modern frameworks and design tools, we bind ourselves by their limited capabilities.

Every year, advances in the Web platform unlock countless solutions for so many front-end roadblocks. However, the industry tends to ignore and overlook the foundations. Modern CSS might seem overly complex and unwieldy, but it is the most powerful tool for creating user interfaces.

In this talk, Roma will demonstrate how versatile CSS is today, how it compares with what we had in the past, and what awaits us.
