A Maturity Model for Design Systems
Ben and his team at Sparkbox have been working hard to better understand the context and role of design systems in organizations of all sizes. As a part of that work, a model of design system maturity has evolved. In this session, Ben will share an overview of the model, including the four stages of maturity, how a design system’s origin story impacts its path through maturity, a framework for maturing in a healthy way, and a framework for maintaining stability. You'll be able to identify where your system fits in the model as well as the challenges you'll face to reach the next stage.
